The Dodo and the Kiwi in Bloomington, MN

The Earth is 4.5 billion years old. In that time, animals have come and gone. That's nature.
But sometimes, people have played a role in an animal's early disappearance. Deforestation, overhunting, and other human actions led to the dodo bird dying out. What can humans do to keep that from happening again? This book explores how people contributed to the extinction of the dodo, and what we are doing to save its endangered cousin, the kiwi.
