The Demon's Shadow: An Urban Fantasy Thriller

My name is Christian Winter. I'm a newly promoted Detective Inspector with the Magical Investigations Department, and the MID's most powerful witch, so my boss keeps telling me. Well, that assumption is being put to the test. I'm in the middle of an undercover investigation involving a Supernatural Organised Crime Group known as Pentacle. They want to conjure a demon from Hell, and I'm all that's standing in their way. As if my plate isn't full enough, my missing-presumed-dead brother, John, turned up on my doorstep out of the blue. He's cagey about where he's been all this time, and there's something up with him, but I can't figure out what it is. Looks like I can't catch a break.
