The Death Marches: The Final Phase of Nazi Genocide

From early in 1945, as the Eastern Front collapsed, numerous concentration camps were evacuated & their inmates forced westwards for no clear purpose. Some 250,000 perished in this phase of the Nazi genocide, many slain by their guards, army & police units & by gangs of civilians.
