ASIO section head Shane Delitani having found drug problems in his own family sends out his top covert operative Ella Portman to Columbia with specific instructions. Find a way to infiltrate the Cartels and gather the information needed to intercept and bring them down. Having formed a romantic attachment to the head of one of the cartels Ella feels things are progressing well. Until the highly paranoid cartel get suspicious and whilst in New Zealand on a marketing trip they turn on Ella drugging her and throwing her over a waterfall to die.
