The latest in a series of unsolved homicides in South El Paso in 1953 leads Detective Vincent Quinones to and beyond a dubious legend of gold and treachery during the Mexican Revolution of 1910. The strange facets of the case become more troubling for Detective Quinones as his suspicions grow of a secret relationship between his former lover and a fellow detective along with the dread of the prospect of their involvement in the latest murder. The young detective's lonely pursuit of the truth will take him down the dark backstreets and alleys of the city where the answers hit hard and come at a price much greater than the legendary gold.
