Peter Barrow lived a life of seclusion in the northernmost reaches of Brigard, quietly working on his clocks. His was a profession both feared and admired by the villagers, for the clocks promised power beyond mortal means. That is, all but one mysterious pocket watch. On one fateful night, Peter met Nolan Levinson, a soldier wanted for desertion.
