The Cannula from Golgotha

I wrote and cornpleted my one and only fictional novel at the early age of eighty-something. My fortune has been to toy around with a concept for some-forty years and then self-publish my effort when the printed-on-paper book publishing industry is in the throes of a monumental quandary. In my teens, unwashed and unlettered, after a meager dose of high school science, I became enchanted with the idea that the ultirrate particle of of the basic impulse for the making of the entire universe was an amalgam of Time/Space. Each particle literally the Godhead in existence. I then took it upon myself to baptize it as NTH. Perhaps the thought is not original; perhaps the crocheting I imposed on may be. Here's how all came about. At age sixteen I quit schooland commenced my meander through life, always with NTH close by. In midlife I fancied that I could write something about NTH; and so commenced a journey that wandered into my dot age-still somewhat unwashed and unlettered. What I first produced was essentially a meager essay that is not in this preface. My response to the thought that it was just not enough led me to the staggering idea that I should incorporate the idea within the context of a fictional novel. This story-telling effort morphed into a tale that touches on the crucifixion of Christ, ancient Sicily, the Mafia and the modern USA. All with my warm remembrances and nostalgic reflections of my good life as a child and youth in the depression years in South Philly, PA. Although an inkling of the concept of NTH is included in the story, the elaborationand emphases of the complete concept was withheld for the sake of expedition. Eh!-that's life. — From the author
