The writer of the book of Acts was Luke the beloved physician. He was a traveling companion of Paul and meticulously wrote what he saw and what he heard. Modern day scholars are perplexed on how detailed Luke was in pointing out the three missionary journeys of Paul as well as the trials and tribulations they endured in preaching the gospel to the Jews and Gentiles.
