John Audubon's legendary The Birds of America. This is Volume 3, featuring restored versions of Plates 291-435. While this eBook should work with any Nook, or Nook App, it is recommended for hand held devices with color screens. This volume includes Audubon’s famous depictions of the Large-billed Puffin, Harlequin Duck, Blue Heron, American White Pelican, Roseate Spoonbill, American Flamingo, the extinct Great Auk, and more than 100 others.Note 1: This is an updated version formatted to fit the Nook Color/Nook Tablet’s screen resolution exactly. This corrects an error that made the images appear cropped in the original version. If you purchased this book prior to February 10, 2012, and have a Nook reading device, it is recommended that you download this version. Note 2: The Nook format and 'Get a free sample' device aren't well equipped to deal with picture books. For some reason it lists this 145 plate (page) book as '0' pages long, and a 'sample' delivers none of the pictures and only two paragraphs of text. If you want some evidence this is a substantial work look at the file size, which is correct.
