Anais Bellerose was born in Lyon, France an only child, raised by her father an oil tycoon. After his death, she sells the mansion and all of its contents and moves to the States. To embark on her new career as the pianist with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Anais, excited to begin her new life, buys a bungalow in the quaint town of Lakewood near the shores of White Rock Lake, a few houses down from her sorority sister from the University de Lille, Avery Smith. Whom she has not seen in the five years since graduation, and they pick up right where they left off in college. Anais' new journey takes some unusual twists and turns, when she is hit by a semi-truck while cycling and ends up in Baylor hospital. Where she undergoes a routine surgical procedure and suffers a near death experience at the hands of her doctor/love interest. Her relationship with Avery becomes splintered, when the accusations begin to spread, claiming negligent malpractice of Anais' attending physician, Dr. Aiden Wells. Anais is torn by the feelings she has for Aiden and the contempt Avery holds for him, wanting to have his license revoked, after almost losing her best friend. Through it all, Anais gets a second chance at life and finds true love with the man of her dreams. And with a lot of laughter and a few tears Anais and Avery manage to strengthen their friendship and play a vital role in the growth and development of the Lakewood community as well as successful business owners.
