The Bad Is the Good provides insights and thrills into Lauren's challenges, both at work and home. Her toughness and resiliency increase and develop as she strives to enjoy life while dealing with her fears and shocks that explode into her life. Lauren, a married Manhattanite, quickly learns how challenging marriage can be with an alcoholic partner. With non-existent sex life, she turns to work for comfort. Turmoil at work further tortures her, followed by the exit of her dearest friend. While these events cause Lauren to turn to her own vices for comfort, she quickly realizes a life filled with isolation and depression is not the life for her. Fortunately, an accommodating masseur helps Lauren temporarily see the joy in her life. Determined to learn from her mistakes and experiences, Lauren puts herself on a new path. Hope grows in her heart.
