The Archangels of Vinea in Bloomington, MN

When a suspended animation pod with a child inside washes ashore on an isolated island of Vinea, Khany is dispatched to investigate – and takes Yoko along with her. The trail leads to a strange tower that emerges from the water at regular intervals, and on which Khany lands.
