Synopsis. In The 3rd Shift part two, the main character Sonia gains the respect of her abusive mother. Sonia's mother, Barbara, gets a new job and eventually gets clean as she returns to her motherly duties. Sonia graduates from school and gains employment as a correctional officer, trained in corruption.
