The 3rd Shift

Synopsis Although fiction, The 3rd Shift is a realistic tale of growing up in New York City for many children. This title depicts how drug usage in one's household can ultimately break up a family. Siblings sticking together at times of adversity is not only a reality, but mandatory. The 3rd shift is about Sonia Watson, a Bronx native. Despite her environment and her upbringing, Sonia becomes a correctional officer at Riker's Island. With so much corruption in the correctional system, she will struggle, but will she fold? There is only one way to find out.
