"That's a damn good dog!": Commonwealth of Virginia vs.Stephen Matteson Epperly (1980), A Retrospective in Bloomington, MN

Gina Hall, a Radford University freshman, disappeared on June 29, 1980, after spending the evening with Steve Epperly, a former Virginia Tech football player, whom she had not previously met. Lookabill and his law partner, David Warburton, represented Epperly on the first-degree murder charge, based upon an indictment handed down by a Pulaski County Grand Jury, even though a body had not been found.
