This book is designed to address issues on involvement of pupils with disabilities in teaching and learning practices. Pupils with disabilities are currently educated in inclusive classrooms where there are unfriendly environments, insufficient supplies of resources, and teachers are not trained in special education. In describing the existing situation, the book explains the classroom arrangement, teaching-learning strategies, the availability and use of materials for teaching and learning of pupils with disabilities, as well as the problems teachers face in teaching disability-inclusive classes. The book is highly relevant to inform education stakeholders and policy makers on how the teaching and learning process in inclusive classrooms is carried out. It also helps when planning and developing remedial measures for correcting the problems or improving teaching-learning practices that hinder the effective learning in the inclusive class.
