Contrary to common assumptions there is no consensus on baptism within the ecumenical movement. "Baptism, Faith, Spirit" examines a variety of Protestant theological traditions, looking at their baptismal practice, theological foundations and current doctrine. It analyzes their fundamental theological principles, biblical hermeneutics, theological-historical experiences and developments as well as the anthropological and religious-philosophical assumptions underpinning them.
