A young man enters high school with nothing but rumors spreading about where he has been for years. After vanishing from junior high in sixth grade and only returning to ninth grade taking special education classes, he realizes that he doesn't have a learning disability. He meets a junior named Anna, the smartest student in school, and enters the Speech Team that she is the captain of.
