swing
-based tunes.
"Softly As in a Morning Sunrise,"
"It's Allright With Me,"
"Breakfast Feud,"
and
"I Don't Wanna Be Kissed"
are among the high points of this consistently swinging and very enjoyable music, a bit of a throwback to the 1950s.
Hedges
has rarely been given the opportunity to lead a record session, so that fact (on top of the high quality of the music) makes this successful effort something special. ~ Scott Yanow
