Summer Haikai: Loss, Healing, and the Art of Gratitude

This collection of ninety-six poems and accompanying images was inspired by Claire Flaherty's work with caregivers of loved ones with early onset dementia. Designed as a daily reader throughout the summer months, it provides inspiration and encouragement to anyone navigating the transition from grief to gratitude after the loss of a loved one. Drawing from her own life experiences, following the loss of her two oldest brothers, she weaves a thread of mindfulness through the physical world with passages that embrace the moment and sanctify the very act of being.
