Mounting a hoop on a wall frees the driveway completely, and this 44 inch system bolts to concrete or brick with expansion bolts in about 30 minutes of drilling and tightening. The backboard is 2 millimeter polycarbonate, thick enough to return clean rebounds and clear enough that a shooter can sight the rim without visual distortion, even in rain. Solid steel forms the rim and mounting arms, resisting the bending that follows a season of aggressive play. A thickened woven nylon net holds its texture through summer sun and winter snow and produces a proper sound on a made shot. Because the assembly hangs from a wall rather than standing on a base, there is nothing to trip over and no ballast tank to fill. Overall dimensions measure 43.31 by 34.25 by 27.95 inches at 22.05 pounds, sized for garages, backyard walls, gymnasiums and school courts for players ages six and up.
