Two seats ship together, which matters because a helm and a companion seat rarely get replaced one at a time. Each measures 19.9 by 16.9 by 21.85 inches with a high back that supports the shoulders through a long run rather than stopping at the lower spine. Thickened sponge padding under marine Pvc leather absorbs chop, and the covering sheds spray and wipes clean of sunscreen, fish slime and salt. A hinge at the base folds each seat down to 18.5 by 7.48 by 6.46 inches, clearing sight lines while trailering or docking and letting gear pass along the gunwale. The Pp frame resists cracking under ultraviolet exposure that turns cheaper plastic brittle after a season. The pair weighs 18.2 lbs and bolts to standard pedestal or bench mounting patterns on fishing boats, runabouts, pontoons and canoes.
