James Simmons, church pastor and businessman, had been estranged from his father for twenty-five years. Upon losing his position with the White Sox, his father proposed that James' family return to his hometown and become the youth pastor of their church. After declaring he'd go only if God told him audibly, it appeared that one by one, doors were opened giving them the opportunity to move. Was God moving the Simmons family onto another path or directing them to the one He always intended? Would He use this to orchestrate healing in their family? Could it be possible for James and his father to change and mend fences or leave things status quo forever?
