Spirit Winds

This story is centered on Alyssa Daingerfield in the suburbs of Los Angeles from 2001 through 2010. A powerful mind and a spiritual nature set young Alyssa apart from other teenagers. Her broken home life and social challenges further detach her from the culture of Southern California, but her colorful dreams and moving visions offer a refuge. Despite her challenges, she clings to her alter reality, and is effective at using her spiritual talents to move forward in a unique way. As she matures and readies herself to leave high school, she gradually succumbs to the seductive materialistic temptations that surround her. Her indulgent exploration is reinforced through meeting Trevor Granderson. Their intense passion is eventually challenged by the love of her dear friend John Finn. After several tumultuous years of relationships, work, and college, Alyssa arrives at a turning point. She chooses between a life of sensual pleasures and animalistic competition, or one of insight, ambition, and enlightened awareness. Her decision sets off an unpredictable chain of events of unimaginable consequences that significantly impacts all the people and events in her life
