Speaking and Praying in Tongues: A Non-Negotiable Christian Necessity

At best, the average believer in Jesus Christ has a very board understanding of the person and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Although Speaking/praying in tongues is one of the nine main gifts of the Holy Spirit, it is one of the most controversial topics in many Christian circles. The lack of adequate teaching, exposure and understanding on that matter has created an uncomfortable level of confusion among many believers to the point that most of them have their minds already set either for it or against it regardless of what the Bible says about it. In this book, I discuss some of the fundamental discrepancies in the understanding and the practice of speaking and praying in tongues in the early New Testament Church along with how those discrepancies were resolved. Based on biblical evidence, this book sustains the fact that being baptized with the Holy Spirit is a separate experience that follows salvation. I discuss four main criteria that make both speaking and praying in tongues to be an established biblical doctrine. I take the reader on a personal journey with me to discover the truth presented in the Bible about speaking and praying in tongues. I share my personal testimonial on being baptized with the Holy Spirit as well as the trigger that catapulted me to investigate that matter beyond the surface level. I look at the reasons why praying on tongues is so controversial in many Christian circles today. I discuss both health and spiritual benefits of speaking and praying in tongues in the way that science and the bible see them. I discuss the nine main gifts of the Holy Spirit and how speaking and praying in tongues are not optional but great necessities for every believer who wants to fulfil the destiny that he/she was brought here on earth for. At the end, I lead the reader into two simple but crucial step processes. In the first step, the reader who is not yet a believer is afforded with the opportunity to 'accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior through a simple faith-based activation prayer. In the second step, the believer who has not yet been baptized with the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking and praying in tongues is lead into a simple yet powerful activation prayer to get baptized with the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking and praying in tongues.
