This is one of the more bizarre discs in

's extensive budget-line
S.O.U.L.
series. Rather than pluck from
Chaka Khan
's studio albums with
Rufus
and her solo releases, this condenses the (allegedly unauthorized) 2008
Cleopatra
release
Greatest Hits Live
(released on DVD and CD). The packaging does nothing to indicate that the contents consist of live recordings.
Chaka
's in a jovial, energetic mood throughout, but the performance is rough. It skips around her '70s and '80s output, including
"Sweet Thing,"
"Tell Me Something Good,"
"Ain't Nobody,"
and
"I Feel for You."
