"I thought I told you to show yourself, little man," said the voice behind the eyes. "Wh... wh... Who are you?" Johnny stuttered, ashamed he sounded so stupid and scared. "You know me, Johnny. You know me, I'm the terror that lives in your imagination. I'm the guy that practically scared you to death when you were little. You remember that? You cried in your room, like a lost pup, and hid under the covers, the first time I laid eyes on you." "What are you talking about?" Johnny asked. How would he know that? "You know damn good and well what I am talking about. I scared you in the middle of the night. I came out from underneath your bed." The monsters eyes danced with happiness and it scared Johnny. How could he know that? There is no way this thing could know anything about Johnny's past and how freaked out he was about monsters that came out from underneath his bed. He'd never told anyone about that incident. The only two people that would've known besides him was his Dad and his sister. "Your Mom's name is Gina, and your Dad's name is Luke. You have a little sister named Melissa. If it wasn't for her, you'd still be on your bed under the covers!" He laughed wildly and Johnny could see his sharp teeth, and half way down his throat. "I...I...I don't remember..." Johnny stammered, feeling stupid again. "Do you remember this?" He said as a huge white claw came out of the darkness, and swiped Johnny across the chest. He cringed in pain. It hurt to breathe. He did remember it.
