The majority of the local cattle keepers are characterized by high levels of illiteracy and poverty. Despite their heavy dependency on cattle and their products, they lack knowledge on cheaper drenching measures that have less side effects on humans and cattle. This book explores the potential use of Cissus adenocaulis in de-worming cattle and increasing the income of cattle keepers. Both the leaves and roots have been used fresh and dry for cattle de-worming.They show potential equivalent to that of Albendazole 10% in reducing worm burden in cattle and goats. They reduce EPG in livestock dung on common and harmful gastrointestinal parasites including: Nematoda:-Strongyloides, Trichuris, Capillaria, Bunostomum, Oesophagostomum, Chabertia, Haemonchus, Nematodirus, Trichostrongylus, Ascaris, and Toxocara; Cestoda:-Taenia, Moniezia and Diphyllobothriu and Trematoda:-Fasciola, Dicrocoelium, Prothogonium and ParamphistomumFasciola Cattle keepers should use Cissus to reduce on drenching expenses, maximise their profits and boost their income. The governments and NGOs should sensitize and encourage cattle keepers to use local dewormers like Cissus that can improve productivity of livestock
