Back in the early nineties, a popular teen television show named The Realest, and its main character, the inimitable "Snarky," sparked love between two creative individuals, who, unfortunately, went on to name their child after the character they so adored. The show is still in syndication. The marriage, however, was canceled shortly thereafter. Naturally, Snarky was to blame . . . the television character, not the child, who was just five years old at the time. Now, nineteen years later, Snarky Silverberg is all grown up (almost) with a serious axe to grind against the fictional character responsible for destroying her family, ruining her life, and, of course, saddling her with the worst name in the history of all baby names. Along with her best friend, Moody, Snarky will to travel to LA to confront the actress behind her character namesake, and make her rue the day she ever set foot on the small screen. At least, that's what she thinks. Unfortunately, when you have a name like Snarky, nothing is simple . . . not vengeance, not family, not love, and certainly not identity. As sweet as it is salty, Snarky Goes to Hollywood is a madcap coming-of-age romp, with a genuine love for the pop culture it good naturedly knocks. One that offers a heaping helping of sass, to appease the sarcastic, pissed off, teenager in all of us.
