Skyler and the Pirates

The son of a smuggler takes over the family business when his father and his best friend are double-crossed and murdered by pirates. Along with his wife, sister, and sister-in-law, they vow vengeance against the pirates. With the help of a friend and leader of a rebel movement, they track down the pirates to their base in another galaxy. Before they can get their revenge, they find out that the pirates are now in league with the newly crowned emperor and are now his allies in his desire to conquer both galaxies. In retaliation for the pirates being attacked by the smuggler, they murder his wife and sister. The small rebel army joins him in his plan to attack the pirate's home and eliminate them completely. This is the first book in a three part series.
