Princess Rebecca never expected to agree to an arranged marriage-or to wearing the queen's crown. But now, to secure a peaceful future for the Silver Fairy Tribe, she faces what may well prove to be an impossible situation. She has also agreed to let the Citizen's Council choose her husband from three, carefully selected suitors: Edward, an old friend and son of the traitorous Count Bullierd; Alfred, the arrogant son of crown-seeking Duchess Beatrice; and Hugh Lawson, a Plant Fairy half-prince who already loves Rebecca.
