French cabaret singer Patrick Bruel ascended to international fame in the 1990s, as a Gallic pop idol with a massive teenage fanbase. After a slight lag in his popularity, Bruel experienced a resurgence around a decade later, on the heels of his 1999 album Juste Avant and other subsequent efforts that found him returning to the arms of traditional French vocal stylings.
