Shattered

This novel tells the story of eighteen-year-old Rylee Hughes, whose life was flipped upside down, leaving her with a family that wasn't her own. This unfortunate circumstance ends up being a silver lining in the young teen's life, as she finds the happiest moments follow her hardest times. This story follows Rylee through her journey with happiness and self-discovery with a new family, followed by her navigating through a traumatic breakdown that stripped her of everything she rebuilt for herself. Readers experience the heartbreak Rylee faces in being homeless as a teenager, losing friends left and right, having her family walk away, and the pain that comes with these instances.
