Christian law enforcement officers, military personnel, and para-military personnel have moral challenges in their line of work that are unique from other professions. The objective of this book is to teach Christian police officers, military personnel, para-military personnel, pastors, church elders, and biblical counselors how the Scriptures resolve these challenges. Scripture is clear that people who belong to God (Christians) are commanded not to lie (Ex. 20:16; Lev. 19:11; Prov. 12:22; Col. 3:9). Furthermore, all Christians are instructed to love one another (John 13:34-35; Rom. 12:10), to be kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving toward one another (Eph. 4:32), not to allow any corrupt talk to come from our mouths (Eph. 4:29), to avoid harsh words as they tend to stir up anger (Prov. 15:1), to love our enemies (Matt. 5:44) and treat them with kindness (Rom. 12:20), and not resist the one who is evil but even turn the other cheek, providing the enemy a second chance to punch us in our face (Matt. 5:39). In this book, Christian police officers and Christians who are in the military are taught that they can, in fact, resist those who are evil, use harsh words, and even use lies, deception, ruses, and trickery in their professions with a clear conscience. They can use all of these "tools" and still blend their faith with their careers in a God-honoring way.
