Second Generation African Americans: The Children of African Immigrants? Futur

People from all over the world are familiar with the African proverb that says "it takes a village to raise a child". Africans understand the power of communal living. We are a people who love family and friends. We have always taken pride in the birth of a child and understand that they are a door to the future of Africa and the continuance of our family lineage. Children are highly regarded in Africa. Are the Africans more equipped to raise children than in other places? No, most certainly not...but Africans are the oldest people of the world who birthed and raised children so their voice should be heard. Africans carry the world's first history of building a society through the reproduction of children. Nations come out of children who grow up to be adults.
