Chancellor "Chance" Symons II was a decorated Marine Corps fighter pilot-a TOPGUN grad steeped in the non-PC battle-hardened mold of hard drinking, hard partying fliers who were known to Tease the Bear from time to time. He is brought back to active duty to command VFC-46, Det A, an eclectic mix of fourth generation F-5, F-15, F16, and F/A-18 fighters manned by the hottest sticks in the business. Their mission-teach the latest fifth generation F-22 and F-35 stealth pilots a thing or two about dog fighting.
