Sarah Jane: A Life Well Lived

Born on April 11, 1918, Sarah Jane entered this world in a farmhouse on the Kansas prairie. Water came from buckets plunged down hand-dug wells. Food came from tilling the ground and raising animals. There was no indoor plumbing, and most clothes were made by hand. The words "simple" and "hard" best describe every part of life at that time. Most of what our generation considers to be necessities of life didn't even exist then. Sarah Jane has always appreciated the modern conveniences of the 20th and 21st centuries because she remembers what life was like without them. Her surroundings and society have changed, but Sarah has not. Her resolve to honor Christ has never diminished. Her acceptance and love for others has not waned. Perfect? No. A life well lived? Yes!
