Sailing into Sunset, the first chapbook by Ann Work Borger, connects her inner vision with the outer world through nature imagery and introspection. Mrs. Borger chronicles life's passing with both the shock of a cloudburst and the subtlety of an icicle's drip. Small poems illuminate the complexity of an American woman in the late 20th century. A retired computer systems analyst, she started writing poetry in the 1970s to deal with loss. Twenty years later she began to publish. She is a webmaster and choral musician as well as a sister, wife, mother and grandma.
