This is a lyrical diary of Father Eusebio Kino, the 17th century Jesuit priest who explored Baja California and Arizona, written by Renzo Francescotti who was fascinated by the priest's life and adventures to the point of becoming his alter ego. Francescotti constructs a touching and believable scenario for Kino's relationship with the Pima Indians he helped.
