Royal Frankish Diplomas in Bloomington, MN

This is a collection of royal deeds collected from the reign of Pepin I and his two sons, Charles and Carloman. Most of these works deal with the the monastery and church lands within the Frankish empire. These deeds were preserved to demonstrate the immunity of church property under royal patronage for all future generations.
