Chinese scientist Chen Yan Ru feels her life is right on schedule. She has her research lab up and operating, several highly regarded peer reviewed papers published, and now is planning to marry. Her fiancé, David Smith, is an accountant with the Department of Agriculture in Washington. He is kind, caring, and has a solid work ethic. Yan Ru sees everything falling into place: marriage, child, and her lab research. She wants a quiet, simple, home life while she works wonders for medicine.
Unfortunately, Natasha Pavlova, Russian, is about to cross paths with David. Natasha is a world traveler, and she travels fast. She has to be quick, she is wanted by several law agencies. A chance meeting starts a series of events that cascades into high danger for David and Yan Ru. The good doctor sees her plans for an easy life of research twist into boot camp, parachute drops into darkness, and the realization that David might not be the man she thought he was.
