The first comic in the series tells the story of Ansul partaking in the Kura-Kura ritual, a Martian rite of passage. It also gives a glimpse into first contact between Martians and Humans and has a secondary story showing how Captain Tarsik acquired his beloved Spiral-Ray pistol.
