Modern history in terms of governance has impacted negatively genuine efforts put forward to gear the development in Sub Sahara African countries (SSA). However, a good knowledge of its climate, rock and soils interaction and landscape are prerequisite necessary to set off good practices that may sustain the promotion of food productivity and reverse the curve of hunger and malnutrition. In SSA, thousands of smallholder farmers produce food with the aid of ancient tools and practices. They are principal actors for food security but absent for major food production policies. Then, come out the need to their integration for any actions regarding the promotion of food production in SSA. In fact, they are familiar with the use of chemicals fertilisers amongst other ancient techniques to ameliorate food production despite the availability of some local materials, economically and environmental viable to enhance food production. This book presents some examples to enhance food production through smallholder farmers with local available materials such as rock fines and manure in northwest of Cameroon. These examples are also viable for better food quality worldwide.
