A hand-knotted washable wool rug, Taiyo features a textured, geometric composition inspired by Boro, a resourceful Japanese mending tradition that transforms repurposed textiles into something new. Its striped ground is bookended by large overlapping squares made up of small textured dots. The wool is soft and fully washable, with a natural hydrophobic layer that helps repel dust and dirt, and lanolin that lends its signature luster while protecting the fibers from breaking or shedding. For added durability, the wool is hand-knotted onto a polyester warp.
