Return of the Light Prince

'Return of the Light Prince' Michael is a scientist driven with a passionate determination on his crusade to find out why? For him the answer to our human origins remained a mystery supported mostly by theories and historical writings. This absolute commitment became his quest and it was predicated on the following proposition. With hundreds of years of these sometimes conflicting thoughts about our evolutionary past, why not start with an open mind and a blank page? Why not ask some really big questions and look for a very believable and plausible response? As for the rest of us, well at some stage in our own lives, an answer to our genetic heritage is a question we may all want to consider. But here's the thing, Michael found the answer. That is the connection between science and religion that explains the origins of all life on Earth. Armed with this new and powerful evidence, Michael suddenly became nerviously aware of the enormity of the obstacles he would have to overcome, if he were to reveal this story of his experiences. However, let us start at a very important moment near the end and look back. The opening scene for Michael is set during his retiring years when he is celebrating his seventy fifth birthday and he finds himself left only with his memories and his photographs. He soon discovers how someone can lose nearly everything as they grow older. Michael is now a warm and very gentle man who is struggling with a fading memory, declining good health and a certain kind of loneliness that can creep up on you, all of a sudden. As he relaxes in comfort, he starts to recount this experience from the beginning. Unworried by the thoughts of advancing years, Michael is able to relate one of the most fascinating experiences in his life that goes back more than four decades. In the interests of his mental self preservation as you will see, Michael has kept this experience to himself all this time. It is not an experience he is uncomfortable with. In fact he loves the memory of his adventures. The concern he has always felt is that this adventure is so extraordinary, with findings so controversial, that they challenge existing institutions of science and religion which would not readily accept change. It seems to Michael, an impossible task to relate what he has found. But maybe now is the right time, even though some of these global vested interests might still want to protect and defend their stated historical accounts without question. Many years ago Michael had an innocent mind that challenged the very fundamentals of life's origins. In a university laboratory as a young student of science Michael's personal needs were simple but his thirst for knowledge was passionate. He was debating issues concerning time, space and evolutionary theory and probing for answers with his close friend John Bran {nicknamed Oats by his friends}. So Michael's quest originated while as a student, when wanting to follow this dream. It was now some years later. Michael had been recollecting this earlier vision while waiting in his car to pick up his young son David from boarding school, for end of term holidays. In unusual circumstances Michael met a spiritual life force whose gifted power was concealed by both his humanity and his humility. A whole new universe of thought was opened up to Michael by this Great Spirit, who for his own reasons was prepared to help Michael follow his quest. Michael had been set a task by the Great Spirit and faced many tests of his character strengths while learning the values of developing lasting friendships. Early on in command of this mission Michael met and made many new friends. Firstly there was Mharn, an engaging young man who communicated at an intellectually sophisticated level and who was on his own first mission. Mharn was able to explain stimulating issues of relativity and universal age and time with simplicity. After an early experience in the 'Map room' with Mharn, Michael felt mentally challenged and overcome as if confronted and unable to continue, but with some help and encouragement he soon recovers. Michael is soon able to look at and resolve complex problems from multiple perspectives. He experienced high drama and immense passion with many twists and turns in the development of this narrative. There is a wonderful tenderness at many levels with both humorous interplay between the many characters and moments of serious and reflective thought. Michael was led on an imaginative and memorable, adventure filled experience that challenges the most intelligent and thought provoking responses to 'Darwin's' conventional wisdom. This led him to being able to finally answer, with some help, every Earthly scientific question he could have imagined. With advanced mind power Michael is guided on a gripping experience into the past, the present and the future. There are powerful love stories of humanity, intricately woven to help reveal the history and character of our planet to Michael from others experiences, showing our place in the cosmos. As this adventure develops Michael faces critical examination on issues of 'common descent' and the history of life in all its forms on Earth. Having then discovered the secret to his complete genetic heritage and the answers to all his other millions of questions, Michael chose to live a relatively private existence back here on Earth. Stability is important to Michael and so he decided to enjoy his developing family life, over the opportunity to continue with the exploration of his quest. Michael's friend 'Oats' at a later time had closely questioned Michael on his return about all his experiences. Oats was stunned, as was Michael before him when listening to the logic and explanation for the history of biodiversity on Earth. This then was Michael's story of his incredible experiences of sincerity, passion, futuristic adventure, romance and hope. A feeling that anything is possible, that a dream can come true & finally to experience the power of the extraordinary. Now at the age of seventy five Michael finally realises the extent of the sacrifices he had made many years ago by choosing to come home. It is not that he would have necessarily changed anything as life for him had always been about family choices. None the less he is in despair at the depth of this loss of not continuing with his life's pursuits when he had the chance. As the memory of this adventure concludes, Michael refocuses on the passing thunder storm. There are consequences for making these family choices which Michael came to understand. His children had grown up and left home while his companion in life had also passed away. He no longer had anyone to listen to him any more which was also beginning to weigh heavily on him. The lounge room was a little darker. Michael's remaining hot chocolate was now cold and had been for some time. Michael, while reflecting on this lost opportunity was deep in thought. An old friend who has never forgotten Michael is soon to make a calming appearance. Conscious of Michael's now frail condition the Great Spirit with some discretion reappears in the room to offer Michael one more chance in ways Michael could only have ever dreamt possible. There is a certain kind of magic in the universe and Michael is completely overcome. Within moments his life is completely transformed and his opportunities to follow his dreams are reborn.
