Refusing to Die: A Journey of Faith

Cancer: it was something that followed Ray Jerauld for most of his life, starting with his father's death as a result of black lung disease. When he, himself, was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer as an adult, due to a previous smoking habit and running coal boilers with his father, Ray had to quickly come to terms with death and believe God meant good with these unfortunate events. His new medical memoir, Refusing to Die, a Journey of Faith, chronicles Ray's life story, from his outdoors upbringing in New England and Boston to his cancer diagnosis and subsequent rounds of chemotherapy, radiation and hospital stays. He discusses the emotional rollercoaster he, wife Ginny and their sons dealt with during his bone marrow transplant and the faith they placed in Jesus for Ray's recovery and remission.
