Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller were not just excellent and prolific songwriters, they were also the executives and creative control behind the legendary Red Bird label (and its offshoots, Daisy, Blue Cat, and Tiger). This expansive three-disc collection showcases the best of the label's output. It includes classic hits by the Shangri-La's and the Dixie Cups, as well as more obscure, but no less catchy, recordings by Ral Donner, Bob Moore & the Temps, and Bessie Banks. This is historic essential stuff.
