Joslin lives a faerie tale life until her parents are killed. Through hardships and trials she tries living a normal life, but it's not just the murder that rattles her: The murderer stole her mother's precious locket: a locket with secrets just waiting to be revealed. In the time that passes she also discovers her own connection to her parents' murder, the small town she was taken to, and a mystical world from which she hails.
