A history of Queen Emma, consort to King Kamehameha IV (Alexander Liholiho). Queen Emma's love for the Hawaiian people is evident in her tremendous legacy--the establishment of Queen's Medical Center, her contribution to the Hawaii State Library, the founding of St. Andrew's Priory as a school for Hawaiian girls and Iolani school for boys.
