Lydia Melone is an ordinary girl, with ordinary friends, living in an ordinary house, in the ordinary state of Maine. Well, until she wakes up one morning to some very strange visitors who have come to talk to Lydia and her mother. Lydia learns things that change everything she thought she knew and flip her entire world upside down. Can Lydia take everything she had just learned and use it to find a magical portal to another dimension? Fight vampires? Maybe even encounter a dragon? Lydia goes on a wild adventure with old friends and new, some people trustworthy some possible enemies. Will Lydia and her accomplices succeed? Or will something tragic come between them and their destination?
